A necklace worth wearing

Taking a cue from a friend on what I desire

I weave a necklace of gems I admire 

In each bead I weave the most exquisite human expressions – 

A voice that speaks with love and concern 

A character that does not judge

A soul that hears thoughts, desires, and wishes 

A partner that encourages and laughs 

A face that reflects glee upon your sight

A personality that makes hearts’ flutter

I choose an unbreakable string to weave these beads together

For breaking it brings gloom

And wearing it makes life beautiful
